Drinking Water System Installation – Step 6 – Start-Up and Flush System. Check TDS Levels
(Video transcript included below.)

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT [EDITED]:

Hi. I’m Joe McCusker. We’re here at The LeverEdge in Odessa, Florida and we’re going to show you how to install a drinking water system.

Step 6 – Start-Up and Flush System. Check TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) Levels.

Verify faucet is closed. Slowly open the feed valve. Inspect plumbing for leaks and repair as needed.

Open feed valve fully.

Open the dispensing faucet and leave open. Allow carbon fines and sanitizer to rinse from the modules. Black water is normal for the first full tank of water. Check and record the raw water TDS level. Calculate the TDS reduction from the dispensing faucet. 75% reduction is the minimum required.

Allow dispensing faucet to run while periodically checking TDS level until reduction level is met.
