The LeverEdge proudly supports Homes For Our Troops (HFOT).

Since 2012, The LeverEdge has been supporting Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), a charity whose mission is “To build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.”

When you purchase products from The LeverEdge, you not only help the planet by investing in environmentally-friendly products, but you also help us support an amazing charity.

What Is Homes For Our Troops?

Home For Our Troops is one of America’s top-rated veterans and military charities. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to serving veterans.

HFOT has already built 324 accessible homes around the country for Veterans who have been gravely injured in Iraq or Afghanistan and, as of writing, has 73 projects underway nationwide. There is absolutely no cost for the veteran who receives the home.

More than 20,000 American service members have been injured in Afghanistan since 2001 and nearly 32,000 were injured in Iraq between March 19, 2003, and Aug. 31, 2010. Of those injuries, over 2,000 troops suffered injuries so severe (such as multiple amputations or traumatic brain injuries) that they require a specially adapted home.

That’s where HFOT comes in. They are building adapted homes for service members who need them.

How Does The LeverEdge Support HFOT?

Several LeverEdge dealers participate by volunteering to install and service water purification systems in the homes, and The LeverEdge donates the equipment. Some LeverEdge dealers also donate a portion of their sales to Home For Our Troops.

So, when you purchase environmentally-friendly products from The LeverEdge, you are also helping to provide clean drinking water and accessible homes to troops who need them.
